Dr. Monica Joshi, OD
Dr. Joshi was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. In 2015, Dr. Joshi earned a dual degree – Nutritional Science and Economics – at Michigan State University (go green!). While double majoring, Dr. Joshi played Division 1 tennis through a highly competitive scholarship.
In 2022, Dr. Joshi graduated from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (Salus), having completed externships at the Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, The Eye Institute, and Clompus, Reto & Halscheid Vision Associates. While completing her externship at The Eye Institute, Dr. Joshi specialized in pediatric patients, where she treated diseases ranging from strabismus to amblyopia to diseases requiring vision therapy.
At the Pennsylvania College of Optometry (Salus), Dr. Joshi held active roles in the American Optometric Student Association, White Coats for Black Lives, and the Private Practice Club. Throughout her time in school, Dr. Joshi further worked as a Teacher’s Assistant in the Optometric Clinical Skills Lab.
Dr. Joshi is currently a member of the New Jersey Society of Optometric Physicians, the American Optometric Association, and the American Academy of Optometry.
In her free time, Dr. Joshi likes to train for long runs for charities with her husband.
