About Andrew Lipka, M.D.

Dr. Andrew Lipka has been a leader in ophthalmology in Central New Jersey for the past 33 years. From 1986-2018, he directed Ophthalmology Associates of Princeton, and from 1998-2014 he led Brunswick Eye Associates to a leading position in Middlesex County eye care. In 2018, Ophthalmology Associates of Princeton joined with Campus Eye Group to form Campus Eye Group at Princeton, and Dr. Lipka continues to practice at that location.

Dr. Lipka served as Chief of Ophthalmology at University Medical Center at Princeton from 1994-2017. He attended Yale University, graduating with honors in 1978, and then earned his M.D. from The Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1982. Dr. Lipka served his ophthalmology residency at St. Vincent’s Hospital and Medical Center of New York, and was named Chief Resident in 1986. He became Board Certified in Ophthalmology in 1988, and was named a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology that same year. Dr. Lipka was named to the Ophthalmology Faculty of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1998 and continues to teach at the Medical School with a permanent appointment to the faculty of Rutgers Medical School.

Dr. Lipka has also been active in medical research, and has participated in many multicenter, multinational studies which hold promise to help advance ophthalmologic care in the near future. He is the author of numerous scientific articles, published in the leading ophthalmologic journals in the world. He has appeared frequently on both radio and television, not as a paid advertiser, but as a requested expert in cataract and laser vision correction.

Dr. Lipka is a leader in the community; he engages in extensive volunteer work – not only in medicine, but also in education, as the Director of the Yale Alumni Schools Committee in the Princeton are, the founder of the Princeton campus of Yale Alumni College, the Board Chair of the renowned Yale for Life program, the President of the Yale Club of Princeton, a West Windsor Little League Coach and Sponsor through the years, and much more.

Dr. Lipka brings a focus on the individual’s physical and mental fulfillment to his work; he believes that even today, patients value individualized, personal contact with a highly qualified doctor and a caring staff.

Dr. Lipka is married, and the proud father of three. His family resides in Princeton Junction, New Jersey
